Kybella® & Body Contouring

Injections causing lipolysis (the destruction of fat) is a form of noninvasive, nonsurgical, and a safe cosmetic treatment that is used to achieve a younger-looking, more flattering profile by decreasing the excess amount of adipose tissue in the submental “double chin” area.

The active ingredient in Kybella® is a synthetic deoxycholic acid, which occurs naturally in the body but once injected into the fat beneath the chin, Kybella® destroys those fat cells. Once these cells are destroyed, they can no longer store or accumulate fat. This results in a noticeable reduction of fullness in the submental area, revealing a more defined and flattering face.

Other treatment areas are considered to be “off label” and may be discussed with our aesthetic registered nurse. Like other cosmetic procedures, additional treatments may be needed to reach aesthetic goal/s. An average of 2-6 treatments, given one month apart have been shown to provide best results. After reaching your aesthetic goal, no further treatments are expected.
