Neurotoxins are most effective for dynamic wrinkles, which are caused by, and seen with facial movements. Most common dynamic wrinkles are the glabellar lines between the forehead, crow’s feet, forehead wrinkles, and lip lines. Botox ® injections can also be useful in the reduction of neuropathic pain or excessive sweating (“off label” uses). Typically, neurotoxins begin to work within 24-48 hours and produce noticeable results within 2-3 weeks, lasting up to 4 months.
