Spider Vein Treatment

Sclerotherapy is one of the most practical and effective cosmetic treatments of varicose/ “spider” veins, ranging from 0.1mm-4mm in size. These veins appear when the blood in the legs makes its way back to the heart at a very slow rate due to faulty valves in the veins. A sclerosing solution is injected into the vein, creating a reaction that progressively decreases the appearance and texture of the vein by destructing the blood flow of the vessel. Over a period of 2-6 weeks, the treated vein gradually fades and becomes less obvious. Like many other cosmetic procedures, additional treatments may be required. Sclerotherapy may be combined with other cosmetic procedures such as laser and IPL for optimal results.
